Can. Opaque dark brown beer, short darkish tan head. Smooth palate, very slightly viscous, still has decent fine carbonation. Sweet dark malts, dark chocolate ganache. Dark toffee biscuit. Fair old dose of maple. Ripe dark fruits on the back end along with more rich brown sugar. Yeah. Hard to dislike these Amundsen pasty beers, but it would be good if they could take them in a new direction.

330ml can. Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma is sweet with caramel, chocolate, biscuit and a little pecan and bourbon. Taste has biscuit and maple syrup to start with a boozy bourbon finish.

Lots of nuts on the nose. Light body, oily, sweet, boozy, rich. Nuts, maple syrup, brown sugar. A small roasty/bitter twang in the finish. Very nice.

Pours black, no head. Scent is relatively subtile. Roasty, some pecan. Taste is full, roasty, maple aroma ( very full), pecans are much, much milder to even hidden. Roasty back. Not extremely thick, médium carbo. Very nice, but nothing extreme. Don't really get the barrel. Perhaps a bit sharper in the alcohol.
