The second venue I've been to in 8 days that the card machine is down, but I had cash. The proprietor here was more proactive at trying to get it back online than the one in Sunderland last Friday. Easy hopped session ale, nice and crisp, slips down the palate with a smoothness.

[44cl can at 4.2% ABV from a Farm Shop on the Wirral.] A hazy pale amber pour with a loose cream coloured head; tropical fruit aroma; rather soapy in the mouth with a weak pineapple and mango taste; then a grassy bitterness to finish. Pleasant, but forgettable.

Can on 7th January 2022, part of a gift. Pours a hazy amber with shallow, yellowy white foam and a fair amount of lacing. Fruity aroma with zest and sweet berries. Burst of fruitiness in-mouth with citrus and tropical fruits, nuttiness and a suggestion of dairy cream. Pithy, zesty finish with grapefruit and berries. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel. Very pleasant and easy drinking.

Can from the brewery. Appearance - golden with a close to snow white head. Nose - mandarins and mango. Taste - orange, fresh sweat and citrus pith this time. Resin/tomato plant finish. Palate -light bodied, dry finish, just short of astringent, so still good. Overall - nose more inviting than the palate delivered.

On tap at Brewery Tap, Chester Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of a nose – just vague hints of citrus. In the mouth it is crisp and clean, with a base of biscuit and corn overlaid with citrus and hints of lemon. Finish is slightly bitter. A nice quaffable beer, but I’m not sure why they call it an IPA – nowhere near hoppy enough.

Half-pint, keg, shared with Finn at Baltic Fleet. Misty golden body, covering white head, clingy lacing. Moderate smell of ripe lemon. Citrus flavours with lemony hops up front. Hints of fruity bitterness to the ending. Session qualities, alright. (Liverpool 27.01.2020).
