Can @ home. Black body under a nice, big, lacing beige head. Mild aroma of gentle roasted dark malt with hint of chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet, dark, smooth roasted malt, dark chocolate and hint of coffee. Low bitterness. The oak impact is discrete; it’s almost just like a mild spice but I think that’s a good idea in this case. All over a really nice beer, balanced in flavor and body. Relly, really soft and smooth with plenty of flavors.

33cl can. Pours dark brown, close to black, with a tanned head. Malty aroma with dark fruits, licorice, wood and hops. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Quite pleasant.

A dunkel bock would not be my first quess. Not the second or third either Very dark pour and a big beige head. Ok intensity in the aroma Fine sweetness and a tad to rich carbonation level Coffee, dark malt, fruity and bready flavor [Can from Mjorud Advent calendar 24]

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Black colour, creamy tan head. Aroma of roast malts and dark bread, hints of burnt breadcrumbs and mild spices. Malty flavour, not too sweet, moderate roasty notes, hints of mild coffee and dark bread. Moderate bittering hops in the finish.

0,33 boks fra julenissens verksted i Bergen Storsenter, hos Håkon: brunsvart med utmerket skum helt ned. Mørkrøstet malt, kaffe, mørke 70%-chokolader, hint av lakris, grunnsmøring for treski og kakao. Behagelig tørr bitterhet i avslutningen.

Canned (from Vinmonopolet@AIH218). Deep ambery brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is raisins, some dried fruits, mild tart wooden tones with some sugary elements. Flavour is toasted, some dried fruits, tart ood and some sugary elements. Kind of dry wooden aftertaste.

Malty, papery, toasted aroma. Dark brown colour, small steady beige head. Some caramel, paper, cough syrup. Feels a bit old, vintage 2019 probably.

Courtesy of bergstaden Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, toffee and some spices. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel and light spiced finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Amber with off white head - Malt aroma - Malt body with some hints of caramel and some hints of spice in the back from the aquavit barrel - Malt goes into the finish - This was nice
