Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is caramel, malt, toffee, almond, wood, spicy rum, raisin, notes of dark fruits from the port, some brown sugar, and a little alcohol. Flavour is sweet with a mild bitterness and a little booze. Body is full. Very delicious, mostly rum with a subtle touch of port. Lovely smooth BA from Kees after a very shaky 18 series.

Slightly reddish fairly dark brown, trace of off-white head. Smell is a tad herbal, malty, raisins, leathery rum. Great thickness, low carbonation, boozy, heavy. Taste is rich, some sweetness, loads of christmas cake. Dried fruit, plenty rum. Very nice!

Can. Dark amber color. Dried fruit, vanilla, soft herbal notes and rum in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with vanilla, rum and dried fruit. Soft herbal notes. Bitter finish. Low on Carbon. Alcoholic. Fairly complex, really good beer.

Can. Dark amber pour. Aroma of rich vanilla, ripe red fruit, caramel fudge, oak, molasses and honey. Taste has smooth red fruit, vanilla, caramel fudge, red grape, oak, subtle tannine and figs. Warming boozy finish. Really nice.

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before August 2023. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, some rum, a touch of vanilla and traces of red berries. Fairly sweet, malty, a bit fruity taste of molasses, rum, vanilla, raisins and prunes, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently warming and a bit boozy finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very well-balanced, nice barrel-aging, one of the better Kees BA beers for sure.
