Can. Clear dark amber body with a dense beige head. Strong aroma of coffee, dark malt, nuts and caramel. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, low roast, caramel, nut essence, coffee and low bitterness. Medium body and long lasting aftertaste with the same flavors. A nice pastry stout/desert beer, sweet with lots of tasty cookie stuff from the kitchen, but not too weird and quite impressive balance considering this low alcohol. Nice and tasty, still a bit one dimensional for me considering this as a stout and not a desert.

330 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Strong aroma of chocolate, vanilla, Christmas spices and rye bread. The flavour is smooth and has the same elements as the aroma, but is not too sweet. Also hints of mild coffee, very moderate hops.

Can. It's a dark brown beer with a minimal sized dark beige head. Quite oily pour. Some lacing. The aroma has lots of caramel and nuts, nougat, with roasted malts, coffee, vanilla and some chocolate. It's soft and smooth on the palate, quite low carbonation, semi-sweet, with flavors of caramel, nuts, dark chocolate, vanilla and coffee. A light bitterness is lurking in the back, coming stronger toward the finish. According to the label there's no vanilla added, but there's a rather artificial vanilla-thing going on all the way, and especially in the finish it gets too evident. But hey, it's a fine brew at this strength anyway. 181224

330ml can from EuroSpar Langnes. Stable, creamy, fawn-coloured head, lacing rings down the glass. Near-black in the glass, a deep ruby tint to it. Attractive aroma of dark mocha chocolate, mid-sweet. Chocolate flavours with a vanilla touch, ashy. Ends roasted and dry. Smooth on the swallow. Yuletide qualities. (Tromsø 15.12.2018).
