Backlog March 2018. Clear amber body under a small tan head. Aroma has malt, dry fruit, some caramel and wood. Taste is sweet malt, dry fruit, wood, yeast and alcohol. Quite balanced in body with a slightly harsh finish. Nice but feels it’s a bit sweet and heavy on the malty side.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - batch 996 - BB 28.06.2021, at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20210529) The beer poured deep mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had prunes, raisins, Belgian style yeast and malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisins, prunes, earth, sweetness, Belgian style yeast and bitterness. Aftertaste had raisins, prunes and bitterness. A delicious brew that had aged well.

50cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Batch 996. Pours dark reddish brown, with fine beige foam. Aroma is intensely malty, woody, caramel, figs. Body is only partially thick, with marked carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, with a little acidity and limited bitterness. Final is fairly long, tickling you with carbonation and a malty feeling.

Botella 50 cl en Cimmeria 04..07..2018. Lote 996. Fcpref 28..06..2021. Color cobrizo oscuro con espuma beige. Sabores y aromas belgas con suaves amargos y herbaceos maduros, especiados, toques dulces de cereales algo rústicos. Cuerpo medio con bastante sabor y buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio. Suave amargo seco final. Una buena reinterpretation de un clásico belga. Para repetir.

From a 500ml bottle on 6/5/2018. Pours a deep ruby amber with a smallish head. The nose is light Belgian yeast and stewed fruit. Very sweet and fruity in the mouth - quite malty, with lots of dark and dried fruit but with a candied emphasis, with the barest hint Belgian yeast. Slightly syrupy with softish carbonation. The alcohol is really well hidden - would never guess it's a ten per center. Pleasant enough drinking but a bit too one dimensional to really leave an impression.

500ml bottle, batch 996, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Off-white head some of it remaining. Clear copper coloured body. Clingy lacing. Mid-sweet almond and dried fruity aromas. Blended taste of almond, ripe banana, dough, raisin and prunes sustained by alcohol towards the ending. Tolerably sweet. Full bodied. Perfect slow sipper on a dark Saturday night. (Tromsø 17.03.2018).

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. #996. Mørk brun. Middels høyt tett skum. Maltaroma. Smaken karamell & krydder med spor av mørk frukt. Grei - men litt tungdrikkelig. Litt bunnfall igjen på flaska.
