Bottle @ the brewery. Clear brown body with a small, lacing beige head. Aroma is pretty much caramel malt with just a faint hint of chocolate and a little touch of something best described as sour hay or grass. Flavor is medium sweet, dark malt, toast, less caramel than expected from aroma and dusty chocolate/cocoa powder. Not much bitterness. Medium body with a slightly dry finish. Drinkable, quite straight forward session brown ale. I normally prefer my brown ale with a little more chocolate and basically closer to a British stout.

330 ml can, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma and flavour of toasted brown bread and lightly roasted malts. The flavour also has some caramel and brittle, but is not very sweet. Moderate hops. Not bad, but does not blow my socks off.

Brown with a light brown head - Roasted malt aroma - Roasted malt body with some hints of coffee and bitterness - The roasted malt goes into the finish with some bitterness - This was nice

Bottle 330ml @ Arendals
Pours hazy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, coffee and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, chocolate and coffee finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

330ml bottle brought back home from Gulating Ølutsalg in Bodø. Dark brown body, next to clear. Stable fawn-coloured head leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Appealing doughy brown malts on the nose. Brown malty flavours with bread, liquorice, and notes of chocolate. Moderate roasted malty end, mid-sweet. Decent version of the style. (Tromsø 11.06.2018).

A nice and fine brown ale
Deep brown color and a fine tan head. Looks good. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a fine carbonation level. Easy and pleasant to drink. Balanced sweetness. Ok tail. Bready, roast, some coffee and mild caramel.
[Shared bottle from a tutored tasting at the brewery – RBNG18]

Bottle, at the brewery. A clear, brown beer with a nice dark beige head leaving lacing. Roasted malts, some bread and burnt notes, caramel, nuts and hints of chocolate in the aroma. Even some faint notes of ashtray. It's a bit thin on the palate, still at least medium bodied, mostly on the dry side and with a nice carbonation. I'd love a tad more bitterness in the flavor, it gets a bit malt driven only. Roasted malts, caramel, nuts, some bread and burnt notes as well as chocolate hints. Lasting roasted, burnt finish. It took me some sips, but then I realized it's actually a quite fine brown ale. 180303
