Can at the hotel in Empuries. Pours clear gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Medium sweet flavour, some sugary grains, cereal, a dash of honey, straw. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some sun-kissed malts, more cereal, straw. Basic but just about drinkable.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 2B). Can 33 cl - Batch L234420. AROMA: predominant metalic aroma with cereal (corn) notes. very faint slightly sweet caramel note. no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: dark gold color and translucent. average ivory head with good retention. TASTE: caramel and cereal (corn) notes with a slight mettalic note on the background. low bitterness with an almost sweet finish and dry on the palate. PALATE: medium-light body with a slight creamy sensation. moderate carbonation. OVERALL: a slight strong amber lager that gains points on the appearance and palate because of adjuncts.

Medium body, licht bitter, mwah! --- Beer merged from original tick of Argus Tostada on 24 May 2018 at 16:22 - Score: 4
