IPA har vært brygget siden tidlig 1700 tallet, først i London. Originalt er IPA et høst øl eller October beer som det ble kalt og ble beregnet på et par års modning på fat. Ølet ble tidlig eksportert til India og derav navnet IPA, Indian Pale Ale. Den nye IPA ble et symbol på mikrobryggeri bølgen som startet i begynnelsen av 1980 tallet i USA.

330ml bottle at a Mexican restaurant. Pours bright orange with a white head Aromas & tastes of grapefruit, passion fruit, pine & hops. Medium body. Crisp sweet moderate bitter finish.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and moderate hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 130223

Bottled (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Ambery orange colour,mediumsized white head. Aroma is grassy, grainy, fruity, some wood and mild toffee to it. Flavour is fruity, floral, some mild elderflower and a wee bit wood too.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.0%, IBU 62. Moderately hazy golden-brownish to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of oranges and other citrus fruits, orange marmalade and some pine. The flavour is slightly dry and distinctly bitter, with grapefruity, piney and resinous notes.

Golden with a white head - Fruity hop aroma - Malt body with hints of hops that is fruity and hints of herbal notes - The herbal hops goes into the finish with some bitterness - This was nice
