Cask @ The Crown, Penzance. Clear reddish dark golden body with a small, lacing white head. Mild, smooth aroma with malt, caramel and a bit floral. Flavor is smooth, mild malty, some caramel and moderate bitterness. Not much fruitiness. Quite smooth and easy drinkable but I don’t taste much of the IPA here. OK but not great.

Half pint, cask, at Maritime Inn. Loose beige head, dotted spots on the glass, cloudy amber body. Jam-like smell. Blended taste of toffee, red orange, and marmalade. Mid-sweet malt-fruity end. Okay, rather heavy to drink (Plymouth 22.09.2016).

Bottle at home, 27/05/16. Amber golden with a decent light beige head. Nose is orange peel, straw, brown sugar, caramel, red grapefgruit. Taste comprises biscuit malt, caramel, light citric peel, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light earthy hop bitterness. Ok if a little whelming overall.

Wakefield Beer Festival 2015. Doesn’t quite feel its strength, especially as its thin tasting. Has a hop-malt balance without any stated flavours, just a bitterness.

Cask gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2015. Haze reddish amber colour lasting white head. Not sure about the aroma but the sweetish malt in the mouth is ok. Plastic on aroma. Can’t really tell this is supposed to be a red IPA. It’s OK but not great. Moderate condition nothing much on the finish
