Well stored bottle. Black body with a fine, creamy, lacing beige head. Nice aroma with lots of dark malt, chocolate, coffee and warming alcohol. Flavor is sweet, roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, hint of dry fruit, good bitterness and something warm I cant really decide is from alcohol or chili – anyway it’s well balanced and nothing exaggerates. Fine balanced body and long lasting aftertaste. Wonderful.

Svart. Mokkafarget tett skum. Pen lacing. Skummet daler sakte. Lett kaffearoma. Smaken mye krydder. Chili med en søt parfymert undertone. Avslutninga er mer chili. Vel mye. Litt bunnfall.

500ml bottle, 7.5 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. A remaining two-finger, creamy, tan-coloured head over a jet black body. Poor lacing. Slightly roasted nose, hints of cocoa. Taste of cocoa, liquorice and berries before the spiced, chili, part takes over. Pleasing, without being great in any way (hotel room, Oslo 14.03.2016).

07.03.2016, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish dry, raspberries, dark malts, grass, minerals, weeds, roasted grain, soda powder, grass, licorice. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, roasted grain, grass, bark, sour coffee, burnt toast, paper, raspberries. Medium to longlasting, dry and harsh burnt mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Also available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Black colour, tan head. Moderate aroma, notes of roast malts, dust, cold coffee, a hint of chocolate / cocoa. Dry roasty flavour, cold coffee, a little fruit (raspberries), dust, cocoa. A little chili in the aftertaste, leaves a nice warming throatfeel.
