330ml bottle from Fresh Fields Marked in Croydon.. Clear golden-brown body. Stable filmy layer, spotty lacing. Earthy malts and leafy hops on the nose. Malt-accented flavours of toffee and caramel with a backdrop of bittersweet lemony hops. Medium bodied. Satisfying (shared with Finn, Tromsø 25.04.2016).

Bottle at home, 26/01/16. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is malt forward, light caramel, bitter notes, straw, biscuit, light spice, metallic nip. Taste comprises soft caramel, biscuit, light metallic edge, biscuit, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre ... a little unrefined and rough around the edges.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear amber with a short-lived white head. Aromas of butterscotch and drain water, some sugar. Taste is astringent malt, sugar, toffee. Thin finish. Not great.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - copper with a thin head. Nose - butterscotch unfortunately, maybe it’s just caramel. Taste - dry malt and astringent. Palate - light bodied with a dry astringent texture and finish. Overall - an awful beer in a pretty bottle.

Bottle from the brewery. It pours crystal-clear amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty, brown bread, leather, stone fruit and light caramel. The taste is crisp, clean, toasty, lemon peel, bread and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Clean and easy-drinking but not a whole lot of character to it. So-so.

Bottle at home in London. Pours perfectly clear garnet-gold with a fine, creamy white head that quickly settles into a film. The nose holds lots of ripe berries, doughy brown bread, brown sugar. Medium sweet flavor with lightly toasted, bready malts, berries, plums, very mild leafy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with further lightly toasted brown bread, ripened fruits, especially berries, hints of caramel and leaves. Decent. Easy drinking ESB.
