Fra elegant 0,5 flaske på RBHD-samling hos Asle Bjørn, okt-18: klar honninggylden uten skum. Honning, honning, honning, lyng og alkohol. Vidunderlig for meg som er så glad i (og avhengig av) honning!

From bottle with AKV at his home 21.06.16. Clear pale straw colour. No head. Strong aroma of cloudy Norwegian honey and walnuts. Taste milder, with sherry, honey, walnuts a hint of aceton at first. Fine aftertaste, with honey and warming alcohol lingering on.

500 ml bottle. Thanx to Gunfryd for sharing. Clear pale golden body without any head. Strong aroma of heather honey. Flavor is very sweet heater honey with alcohol and hint of herbs. Rather rustic and plain honey without any depth or complexity. OK for a sip or two, but ends up way too sweet for me. Probably better for somebody who loves heater honey and have a sweet tooth.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Naked surface. Clear golden body. Sweet honey nose. Similar taste profile of honey up front joined by herbs and alcohol. Alright for a few sips, otherwise far too sweet (Sunday session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 03.04.2016).

Denne gangen i flytende form. Alkoholen er helt overdøvd.

On tap at Bergen Ølfestival. Clear, flat and yellow in the glass, with a combination of flower honey of heather honey. It’s medium bodied and flat on the palate, with some lemony notes in the flavor. Mostly regular Norwegian honey though. And that’s my main issue with this mead, it’s too much like eating honey and lacking depth and complexity. Rating: 3-2-4-3-6-1.8. 150905

Tasted again from bottle. It’s sure better than my first impression, smoother, more complex and not only tasting heather honey.

Taste is slightly sweet, honey, dried grain, minerals, hay, cereal, nuts, heather, hints of citrus. Slightly mineraly and watery mouthfeel. Kind of boring.
