Cask-conditioned at the Grove, Ealing 31/10/2014. Copper in colour, with a decent, white, head. Red berry fruits, slightly bready malts, a hint of nuttiness leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham. Golden colour with a raspberry red tint and a ring of white head; araoma of summer fruits; soft, thin and fruity in the mouth with a dry finish. Not a Red Ale in the traditional sense.

Attractive appearance with a deep, ruby brown body to the naked surface. Aroma of semi-sweet malts and dried fruits. Dark fruits, berries and malts in flavour. A backdrop of fruit bitterness to the ending. Cask, half pint served in a small mug at Fox & Anchor, London 4 Oct 10

Cask at Bree Louise. Pours amber-brown with no head. Fruity, dark malt aroma with barely any hops. Sweet flavor with raisins and grapes, along with some bready malts and brown sugar. Some mild earthen bitters lurk about. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes sweet and dry with lingering fruit notes.

(Cask at Priory Arms, Stockwell, London, 27 Nov 2009) Reddish brown colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with dark fruit and red berries. Malty, fruity taste with notes of red berries, dark fruit and slightly earthy hops in a fairly dry finish. Slightly below medium body, rounded mouthfeel. Hardly exciting, but decent and drinkable.
