Cask at the Bell, Hythe, Kent. Hazy gold with a trace of white head; apple aroma; chalky in the mouth with some restrained apple fruit and a malty body; dry finish. Rather non-descript and average.

Smallish coarse offwhite head. Light amber body. Sharp eggy sulphur aroma. Dry watery resiny taste with wooden sulphury notes. Dry sulphury aftertaste. Cask must have gone bad. (0.1l taster from cask at EBF ’08.)

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Fruity hoppy aroma with a light spice note. Bitter and mild nutty flavoured. Dry and towards slight spiced. Bitter into the far finish. Smooth and easy. Light fruity from the back of the nose.

Cask. Clear dark amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is subtle, hint of spicy hops. A bit of soap, but in all a nice enough flavour.

Cask at The Bishops Arms Luleรฅ 4 Aug 08. Golden brown colored. An OK head that soon dwindled. Inviting aroma of caramel. Dry overall impression: Flavor of dry fruits and a dry aftertaste. Caramel in the finish.

Re-rate in itโs 3.4% incarnation Cask at GBBF 2009. Gold, thinnish off white head. My god, it has some hop on the aroma, EKG Iโm guessing. A bit watery in mouth, but that will be the low ABV, no real condition, some hop, flowery hop on finish 7 3 5 2 10 2.6/5.0
