Saison is a Belgian beer style, which used to be brewed during winter on farms for consumption in spring, summer and fall. Our Saison is light and fruity, which makes it the perfect company for seafood. You could enjoy this ale in the shades of pine trees on Srebrna beach, listening to the sounds of the sea and caressed by the mistral. Bottle, 0.33l. Pours cloudy pale golden color with large frothy white head, good lacin and sparkling appearance. Aroma of wheat, citrus, yeast and some funk. Taste starts light sweet yeasty with orange zest, follows by wheat, herbs and phenols, mouthfeel is crisp and dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, thin texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Not so bad, but I just don’t like it much because it’s too phenolic...

Bottle, shared @ Foeders with Markoijelena & Maakun, thanks Marko! Clear golden color. White head. Aroma’s of grain and fruit. Retronasal there’s additional light sweetness. Flavor is grainish, fruity. Light bodied. Finishes quite dry, rather bitter.

Bottle shared thanks to Markoijelena. Slight hazy golden with big white head. Quite flowery, lots of spices and herbs. There’s basilicum and coriander seeds, milky grains, thyme, bready malts. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with quite some fizzy carbonation.

761. Prvo Viško pivo Saison - Još jedno Viško pivi,točnije saison. Malo mi ima pregorki aftertaste za saison. Nije da je loš, ali nije ni blizu belgijskih piva istog stila.

330ml bottle shared by ippopotamo36 (thanks Alberto!). Dorata torbida, schiuma bianca media persistente. Al naso sentori citrici, esteri, lieve pepe, arancia candita. In bocca è morbida ed equilibrata, lieve attacco dolce, note di frumento, finale amaro. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione medio-elevata. Buona!

Bottle at a private tasting with daniele and Mortlach in Rome-Italy. Semi clear golden pour, medium white head. Nose: camomille, herbs a bit, wheat. Mouth: wheat feel, spicy a bit, citric. Thanks heavy, nice one.

Bottle, 330 ml, shared with Werckmeister. Pours hazy yellow with medium white head. Fruity, citrus, spicy, yeasty, horse blanket, bit funky. sweetish with moderate bitterness. Medium bodied. Quite good.
