500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours jet black, thin tan head. Roasty aromas, light molasses sweetness. Taste is more of the same. Full bodied and rich. Nice.

Bottle from Beers of Europe [280414]
Black, big tan head that dissipated to a thin head
Aroma of roasted malts, some charcoal, burnt notes, ashy
Taste of dark sweet fruity malts, charcoal, ashy burnt roast, dark plum jam. slight sour fruits.....I don’t like that ashtray note
Palate - soft carb, medium body, smooth, fairly oily. Finish of burnt ashy charcoal, dry roast, burnt scratchy feeling at the back of my throat while drinking this that’s not pleasent....sweet malts with this disjointed burnt ash
Overall - This isn’t my cup of ’beer’ at all....only drank a 1/3 of the bottle

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, big thanks to our host with the most (stairs) LKS, 20/12/13 up a shit load of stairs ! Lightly hazed dark amber with a good sized light beige covering. Nose is a dark fruit tang, bready malt, dates. Taste comprises bready malts, dark fruit, earthy. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finale. So so mild.

The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Lightly hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and light. Very fine carbonation. Light and tangy dried fruits. Cinnamon and lactose. Light semi dry finish. After two strong recent offerings from 8 Sail - this is a disappointingly retrogade step in to British spiced christmas beer bollocks. Messy.

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy deep brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is toast, dried fruits, light tang, candy, caramel, and vinous notes. The taste is smooth, wood, earthy, candy, caramel, toast, cocoa, leather, varnish and dried fruits with dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fine.

Bottle shared at the Night of Garbage. More Internet garbage. Pours clear, amber-brown with s creamy tan head. The nose has dry fruits, light tangy semi-dark malts, suggestions of meat. Light to medium sweet with hints of brett, mild earth, grass, leather, dried berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly drying to finish with mild bretty poo, some dried grassy bitterness, leathery fruits. Very decent.
