Keg at St Gerards. Pours clear brown with a nitro smooth thick white head. Aromas of caramel and nuts. Taste is nutty praline, toffee and malt. Thin finish.

Keg mild. Fordwich Arms. clear dark brown lasting cream head. Brown malty water. Nothing wrong with it. Not off. Malty water. Bizarre. Bit of bovril. No hop or bittterness.

Light mild that is almost black. Has a head and a malty aroma, not a huge amount of flavour though.

Half from keg at The Park, just outside Anfield. Dark mahogany body with a tiny head leaving spotty lacing behind. Sweet malty aroma, slightly roasted. The sweet roasted character is also evident in flavour. Very discreet bitter end. Partial watered and a bit empty mouthfeel, but still alright to drink (04.05.2009).

Cask at The Neptune, Derby. Deep reddish brown with a long-lasting beige head; a faint malt aroma; full and malty in the mouth, not as sweet as expected, actually slight dry, but smooth and creamy; the fruity aftertaste develops slowly.
