2nd April 2015: cask half-pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Slight haze to my golden pour, a white head sat on top. Mild hop front to both the nose and flavour, semi-fruity with the malts showing in the taste. Decent enough but lacked depth and boldness in my opinion.

Full pint, hand-pulled cask at the Globe in Liverpool. Crystal clear dark golden body. Nitro creamy white head. Smell of dusty hops and pale malts. Mild flavours of grassy hops, citrus and mild honey sweetness. Dry bitter, short-lived endnotes. Soft in the mouth. Okay, rather anonymous though (01.02.2015).

The Lyric. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, just a little carbonation. Mild pale malts. Little floralness. Mild citrus, little orange. Very mild floralness and spice. Light dry finish. Standard stuff but drinkable.

Cask @ Masons Arms, Todmorden. Golden-blond with a thin head. Has a notable dry hop texture, but it’s a surprisingly crisp ale with some sugars in its nose and taste and hint of fruit. Quite hoppy second time around in 2024.

On tap at the Cask and Barrel. Appearance - golden with a slight haze and a nicely proportioned head. Nose - lemon and pale malt. Sone honey. Taste - lemon and going into grapefruit. Good malt presence and nice nettle zing on the finish. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry refreshing finish. Overall - lovely cask ale.
