På pub i Stockholm. Felskyltat, troligtvis denna jag drack. En något mer välhumlad schwarzbier än vanligt med torra och rostade toner i avslutningen.

21.03.2018, tap @ Apollon:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry foresty, weeds, moss, pine needles, hay, hops, dark malts, lawn, flowers, hints of coffee and licorice. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, moss, pine needles, bark, harsh hops, paper, dark malts, minerals, lawn, leafs, alcohol, hints of burnt toast. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly watery and harsh foresty mouthfeel. As a schwarzbier, it's a total failure. As a black IPA, it's just boring...

Fra fat på Mi2 Cardinal, mai-18: nesten helt svart med et rødlig skjær i ytterkantene. Fint skum som varer. Mørke bær og tynn kaffe i en merkelig og uforløst kombinasjon. Definitivt så-som-så.

Black with a light brown head - Roasted malt and hops in the aroma - Malt body with some roasted notes and some dark chocolate flavours with herbal hops that gives a good bitterness - The roasted malt with chocolate flavours goes into a dry herbal hop finish - This was nice

On tap at Hundholmen, Bod. Has a very deep reddish brown to black colour with a beige head. The aroma is filled with hop pellets, grass, pine and some flowers. The flavour is similar, hop pellets and grass. Dry ending. In the background I sense some roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Has a slick and slightly soft mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. An incredibly clean hoppy touch on this, and it would've been hard to believe this is a dark beer in a blind test. Experimental but balanced. Maybe a bit one dimensional.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 26.03.18. Dark copper. Uneven beige head and lacing. Aroma and taste of most like a black IPA, with American hops, grapefruit, lemon, lime, ash pine shoots and juniper. Perhaps a bit waterish. Bitterness, grapefruit and burnt wood is lingering on.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Nearly black colour, moderate beige head. Moderate aroma of roast malts. Light bodied. Decent roasty flavour, quite dry, coffee notes.

200ml draught at Hundholmen Brygghus. A deep rustic tint to a near-black body. Low, patchy, beige head, good lacing. Nicely roasted black malty aromas, hints of herbal hops. Roasted malty flavours, impact of chocolate and ash, followed by dark fruity hints to a malt-bitter ending. Medium depth with fine drinkability. Enjoying. (Bodø 23.03.2018).
