Can. Dark amber, almost black body with a beige head. Aroma of dark malt, caramel and chocolate malt. Medium sweet, mild roasted dark malt, caramel, dry fruit, mild, dark chocolate and decent bitterness. Not very typical brown ale, more like a porter and not much chocolate flavor and not hot in any way that might be the idea. Still a drinkable session porter.

Rating Desember 2018

Can. A clear looking dark brown beer with a reddish hue and a nice beige head. Heavily roasted, almost burnt aroma with ashtray and coffee grit. Some dark dried fruits. It's medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a rather low carbonation. Burnt malts, bonfire, coffee grit and some dark dried fruits in the flavor. Lasting burnt finish. A bit too much on the burnt side this one, and not much of the chocolate expected from name and label. 181229
