Wheat Weet Mag Het Zeggen is een English Wheat Wine gebrouwen met maar liefst 100% tarwe, salie en madeliefjes. Een krachtig bier met een rijke volle smaak door het gebruik van veel tarwemout. Licht bitter met een bloemig aroma en een mint-achtige nasmaak.

Uhm, de naam? Geen idee. Wie het weet, mag het zeggen!
Maar beeld je eens in… Een Engelse tuin vol mooie doorkijkjes en weelderige borders vol kleurige bloemen. Een weldadige geurige melange van madeliefjes en salie komt je tegemoet. Een perfect moment voor een English Wheat Wine, toch?

Fles gedeelt met Inoven en Benzai. Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige en zurige geur. De smaak is moutig, zoet, bloemig en licht zuur.

33cl bottle from a trade with ShivanDragon, many thanks! A hazy dark golden beer with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of strong wheat malt, soft banana, citrus. Taste of strong wheat malt, not too sweet, dry yellow fruits, not too boozy.

Sehr süßer, hefig getreidiger Beginn, Weizen, Alkohol. Der Alkohol nimmt mit der Zeit noch zu, fein karbonisiert, sehr trocken. Durch die Verbindung von Trockenheit und Alkohoöl unrund, wenig herb. Okay. 9/9/8/7/9/8

yellow/golden with a white head. aroma of citrus, straw, ginger, strong floral notes of daisies, Taste hmmm...lots of floral daisies/sage, immense floral flavors, malts, alcohol, should have tried this one in the summer in stead of the winter.

Bottle. Golden cloudy pour. Aroma of rosepeds, peach, wheat, herbs and malt. Taste of soft wheat, strong floral herbs, bitter grassy nettle, malt and a bitter boozy finish. Not my favorite, but I get the english reference.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bottle Shop Den Bosch', bottled in August 2017. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, quite herbal-spicy, slightly fruity and a bit floral aroma of honey, lots of sage and a touch of sultanas. Very sweet, malty, rather herbal-spicy, slightly fruity and a little floral taste of honey, massive sage, some sultanas and light banana, followed by a long, moderately bitter, fairly herbal-spicy and quite sharp-alcoholic finish, very harsh. Full body, creamy and oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Starts out pretty nice and interesting even if with too much sage for my taste, but the harshly boozy finish makes it hard to swallow, unfortunately. Not bad, but unnecessary.

33cl Bottle from Jopen Proeflokaal. Murky yellow golden colour, white head. Aroma of sage, wheat, alcohol, light floral, flour, light fruity and a bit herbal. Flavour is light to medium sweet, quite dry, light herbal, sage, light burning alcohol, wheat, bitter floral component, light fruity, bitter finish with some alcohol and sage. Medium to full bodied. Tasty, different, but not sure if I really like it or not.

Bottle (from hetbiermoment). Pours opaque golden with white head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is oily, boozy, fruity, wheaty. Flavor is sweet, wheat, fruits, citrus, grapefruit, oily notes, grapefruit. Finish is fruity and somewhat boozy. Overall: ok.
