Bottle from Gulating. Clear, deep brown body under a nice beige head. Aroma is light roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste is soft, smooth dark, mild roasted malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate (lactose?) and roasted coffee. Medium body and nice aftertaste. Nice, tasty and very smooth, perhaps a bit light bodied but that’s to be expected from a 4,5%

Bottle. A dark brown to black beer with a finger-thick beige head. Pleasant coffee aroma with some dark chocolate and a touch of roasted malts. It's full-bodied on the palate, rather high in carbonation, and semi-dry. It's slightly berry-sour, from the coffee I guess, with with coffee flavors dominating. Some dark chocolate and a touch of spices in the far back. Roasted malts and a touch of charcoal too, especially in the far back. A quite pleasant one indeed, but personally I'd prefer it slightly sweeter. 200618

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 23.03.20. Very dark brown. Diminishing brown head. Aroma and taste of coffee, green coffee beans and roasted barley. Dry and waterish mouthfeel

330ml bottle, batch 226, 4.5 % abv, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsdalen. Slowly diminishing, bubbly, tan-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Almost black in the glass. Rich roasted malty aromas. Roasted flavours as well containing moments of black chocolate, ash, and a coffee bite. Ends with roasted bitterness. Quite easy to drink. Like it. (Tromsø 19.12.2019).
