December 2020: Aroma of malts, caramel and mild spices. The flavour is also malty but not too sweet, notes of brown bread and mild earthy hops (EKG), hints of mild spices. Very drinkable, but not particularly exciting. Score: 3.2

A bit disappointing, like decent homebrew. But to much caramel malt. Norway supermarket

Mørkebrun. Nesten klar. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Karamellaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken krydder & karamell. Hint av nøtter i en tørr bitter avslutning. Definitivt julepreg.

Bottle. It pours a dark reddish amber colored body under a beige head of moderate size. Bread, caramel, some toffee and dark dried fruits in the aroma. Some spiced yeasty hints too. It's medium bodied, with a rather low carbonation level, feeling almost flat, and with a ligth sweetness. Mostly on the dry side though. Roasted malts, dark bread, Norwegian Christmas cake (julekake), dark dried fruits, cardamom-like spicyness and toffee in the flavor. Long finish with roasted malts, coffee, toffee and dark bread. Nothing special going on here, but it's actually a quite pleasant and tasteful beer, it's just too subtle for the modern beer drinker I think. 210603

330ml bottle, thanks to Frau Eva. Bubbly, filmy layer to a bright ruby-brown body, fair lacing, hazy last pour. Dark bread-like malts on the nose, mid-sweet, mildly spiced. Brown malty flavours, minerals and bread, distant moments of lightly spiced dried fruits. Some roast to the ending. Quite alright with our Yonas pizza. (Tromsø 05.12.2020).
