12oz bottle from Brewers Haven. Dark brown with a film of tan head. Aroma is peanut butter first, hint of chocolate. A bit more chocolate in the taste, with peanut butter, and the lacto adding sweetness and texture.

Like captain crunch, like my friend Carlos says. Big peanut butter smell initially. And some milk, roast and caramel. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet end. Bottle.

Bottle (born 11/22/19) pour from Valley Beverage Company, Sherman Oaks. Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, finger-width light brown foamy head with excellent retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is strong peanut butter, lactose, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is strong peanut butter, mild cocoa, earth. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and finish as taste with bittersweet roasted, nutty malts. Overall, a pretty solid peanut butter-infused beer, which can often be a disaster. Not getting as much complexity as described but a fair amount nonetheless. Taste doesn't quite match aroma and a little overcarbonated. Nonetheless, enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown color with cola highlights and a small light tan head and decent retention. Spotty lacing. Dominant dry peanut butter aroma. The flavor is a good blend of peanut butter, roasted dark malts and lactose. Not too sweet. A little light and thin for a stout. A nice change of pace. The 64 IBUs are well hidden.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich, thick, two to three centimetre tall, soapy and large-bubbled rich brown head. Aroma of tons of nuts, lactose, peanut butter, cream, chocolate and even some light spices that give a bunch of flavour. Medium-bodied; Strong rich nutty and chocolate flavours dominate with a lot of cream and lactose throughout along with a dash of floral and grassy notes on the finish, perhaps from some lighter alpha acid hops. Aftertaste shows the nuts, earth, toffee and especially creamy and lactose notes with a tiny bit of the chocolate and even coffe noticeable at the very end. Overall, a good and very flavourful, full-of-character beer that shows a lot of quality without being cloying or too strong. Very nice to sample, and even though I could usually find these on the East Coast, this is the first I've seen of this beer, here in L.A. I sampled this twelve ounce, stubby bottle, purchased from Whole Foods in Beverly Hills (Los Angeles), California on 26-December-2019 for US$2,75 sampled in my hotel room here in Downtown Los Angeles, California on 27-December-2019.
