«Žyhulioŭskaje 80 year» is a limited edition released on the anniversary of the legend of co-brewing. Thanks to the recipe close to the norms of the Soviet time, the taste of the novelty is almost identical to «Žyhulioŭskaje», which has become the standard of beer and a symbol of the era for many generations. To do this, the brewers used a special blend of malts and hops, getting saturated full-bodied light beer.

Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Light malty aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Clear golden, white head. Wet paper and malt aroma, perhaps a slightly sour note. Sweet malty flavour, definately not sour. Some caramel, low bitterness.

500ml bottle from Bliznetsy in Moscow. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is malt, bread, grassy hop and caramel. Taste is malt, grassy hops and bread. Light sweetness. Mild bitter finish. Prety decent, although I would have bought it just for the retro Soviet label and bottle design alone .

Pours clear gold with a white rocky head that lasts quite for a while. Aroma: grains, vegetal hop. Light to medium body. Taste: clean sweetish malts, vegetal and grassy hops. light bitterness. Actually a decent lager. I just did not like this green-pea-like hop profile.
