Pours black, no head. Ring of tanned bubbles at most. Full, roasty and soy (dried fruits like raisin from the madeira )and slightly nutty in the nose. Taste is full, roasty, thick, madeira very recognizable. Very nice. Mature and complex.

ABV: 12.5%. Light cloudy dark dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, wood, bourbon - madeira. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, madeira - bourbon, wood, chocolate, dried fruit - dark fruit. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20220528]

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, wood, dark fruit. Slick body, raisin, licorice, wood, cloying sweetness, very good.

Bottle picked up at Warpigs and shared at home with Henrik (18/03/2022) - black with a thin tan head. Dark sweet and light roasted malty with velvety chocolate, some sweet caramel and toffee notes, dark fruit, red grape, the Madeira barrel ageing really coming through as it warms, medium plus body, lingering Madeira kissed warming malty finish. Lovely.
