Low alcohol IPA by Hoop in the northern Netherlands, thanks to Joeri. Quite thick, moussy, densely small-bubbled, cobweb-lacing, slowly diminishing, snow white head on a hazy pale yellowish straw blonde beer with pale greenish tinge and disparate sparkling. Aroma of dried camomile and other herbs - and old herbarium even, white bread dough, plaster, green banana, margarine, soap, old lemon zest, raw parsnip, celery, moist white pepper hint, potato juice, damp jute bags, vague background touch of cooked broccoli. Cleanish, sweetish onset, green banana and some vague lime notes with a dash of green apple thrown in, dim sourish undertone, lively but finely tingling carb, slender soapy body, bit plastery; thin pale graininess gently bittered by a herbal and restrainedly zesty hoppiness, paired with lots of minerality from the carbonation and lingering pale malt graininess, sweetish and soapy; retronasal effects of dried garden herbs, 'herbes de Provençe' and some dried lemon peel. Quite refreshing ending in which the bitterness lasts for a while but always in a mild way; green banana fruitiness remains palpable till the end as well. Drinkable, but this plastery and soapy effect, often present in this kind of beers, annoyed me a bit and I would not have minded a more powerful hop bitterness either - but what this lacks the most for a low-alcoholic IPA, is hop aromatics. No match for fellow Dutchmen Vandestreek's Playground, still the best low alcohol IPA I ever had (and one of the best low alcohol beers I had 'tout court'), but surely a decent attempt.

0.33 l bottle from 'OnderNulPuntVijf', best before December 2021. Hazy, yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity-floral aroma of pineapple, lemon peel and lychee. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, fairly fruity-floral and a little grassy taste of pineapple, lemon peel, lychee and some passion fruit, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty NAIPA, very refreshing.

33cl Fles van OnderNulPuntVijf. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Ruikt naar citrus, grapefruit, wat boterig. Smaak volgt, iets boterig maar dat maakt wel dat het bier wat body heeft en romig is, citrus, citroen, wat grapefruit en iets harsig, degelijk bittere finish. Lichte body. Prima.
