The dark site of pleasure. Fine bitter, fresh and rich in taste. Thanks to dark superior malt that provides the amber colour and the elegant smoothness.

(swing top bottle) Clear and dark amber colour with a medium tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet roastmalty nose with caramel. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied. Sweet malty taste with toffee and a slight hoppy and thin finish. Not bad, but it could have had more body.

Swing-top bottle: Amber coloured, thin lacing off-white layer; distinctive malty nose, some traces of roasted malts and a tinge of raisins; quite dry, light bodied, malty and bitter-chocolatey taste; distinctive bitter (almost hoppy) finish with only a tinge of maltiness. Fair, better than a "coloured Pils", but lacks a fuller body, a better harmony between hoppy and malty notes and a deeper maltiness.

(Bottle 33 cl) If the Flensburg Pils is rather bland, this fares a lot better. Reddish brown with a lovely head. Some caramel maltiness in the nose but never too sweet. Dry, moderate bitterness and very easy to drink. 280999

Bottle. Chocolate malt aroma with moderate hops. Reddish tan color - very unlike most dunkels. Strong chocolate malt flavor with high carbonation. Doesn’t really look like a dunkel but tastes pretty good.

Rather reddish than brown; quite dense amber head, fast gone. Whiff of some garden herb, then immediately milk-chocolate and chocolate malt; oatmeal. Very grainy taste, again (breakfast)oats, or old style cacao-powder. Very titillating mouth (or lips-)feel. Rather light bodied for a Dunkel. Aftertaste is sweeter as before. A nice, inoffensive Dunkel. Thanks, Nat & Jim.

Bottle. Aroma is sligtly malty. Flavour also malty, but not overly so. Pleasant enough though, with a slightly bitter and caramel-like aftertaste.

Amber coloured with an ok head. Roasty aroma with a touch of toffee. Quite roasty flavour, ok bitterness. A bit one-dimensional.

Amber color. Ordinary Dunkel, just featuring a slightly better hop aroma than others…
