330ml can. Black with a tan head. Aroma of shortbread, chocolate, marzipan. Taste is very sweet, dominated by shortbread and chocolate at first, as it warms the marzipan comes through very strongly, definite almond nuttiness to it, lactose. Thick and smooth.

Can. A dark brown beer topped by a small dark beige head. Rather oily pour. The aroma has a good dash of marzipan, dark chocolate, hazelnut and some vanilla and spice notes. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and smooth on the palate, quite sweet and sticky. Dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some spice notes and a touch of vanilla in the flavor. Lasting sweet, warming finish. Nice, but too sweet I think. 210404

Can, 10.5%. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, cocoa, chocolate and marzipan. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, sweet, marzipan, lacto, warming and a little bitter.

Can sourced from Ales and Brews (26/02/2021) - pours black with a small tan head. Sweet opulent chocolate malty with prominent marzipan, caramel, sweet biscuity malts, fudge, more marzipan almond coming through, brown sugar, full bodied, lingering sweet malty close. Another solid effort from the pasty stout kings!
