330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, minimally smoky and spicy aroma, notes of coffee, mocha, hints of vanilla, a touch of burnt caramel. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, sweet-ish, chocolately and caramel malty, slightly spicy and minimally smoky, minimally woody, notes of Bourbon, vanilla, dark caramel, some fudge, toffee; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Homogeneous and harmonious, relatively easy drinkable - very nice.

Bottle share at Hopdog München, Tuesday 9th October 2021 with Ratebeer group and Will from work. Pours murky dark brown edging towards black with a slim beige head. Lots of vanilla, a suggestion of sweetness to come, sticky black treacle, soft moutheel, this is very nice.

Bottle, danke Günther!. Dark brown to black, brown cream. Toasted and chocolate aromatics, vanilla cream, a hint milky way. Medium full body, a bit heavy. Earthy chocolate and coffee notes, intense Mousse, boozy chocolate retronasal. Stronk, but not bad at all.

Bottle, many thanks pivnizub! Brown color with beige head. Aroma is barrel sugars, rum, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, perhaps a touch too much barrel. Taste is chocolate, rum, bourbon too, boozy finish. Foamy-ish carbonation, some fussel flavours. Quite nice, but a bit overdone in terms of barrels.

Bottle. Pitch black, smaller beige head, not lasting. Medium chocolate nose, some vanilla and slightly roasted, some wood. Medium sweet, medium bitterness. Some cream and vanilla, quite warming in the finish. Ladting woody, slightly smoky aftertaste. Fuller body, silky. Lovely sipper.

Buddel: As black as expected, small brownish foamy layer, pretty solid sweet toasty and woody nose with distinctive traces of vanilla, hints of liquorice and fruity port-wine; solid sweet and mildly bitter flavour, full bodied, doubtless, silky MF; lingering sweet port-vinous and toasty finish with a balancing and increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Great stuff, by poor german Imperial Stout standards...

33cl bottle. Thx Vastactiv. Poured black in color. Pleasant roastedness, wood, burntness. Very good barrel work. Licorice notes, hint of bourbon. Excellent. Long finish.

Bottle at Ardes residence, Helsinki. Thanks rauchbierlover! Color is dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Bourbon vanilla, Cacao, some rum, chocolate, some white chocolate, dryness... very balanced barreled brew.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 15.10.2025, thanks VastActiv, 20210424) The beer poured oily and black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, wood, vanilla and cocoa powder. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, wood, vanilla, cocoa powder and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, vanilla, dark chocolate and bitterness. A delicious burnt brew with balanced barrel notes.
