Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A: base 19C - American Brown Ale adapted with lactose, vanilla and cinnamon). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L06102020 (BBF 072021). AROMA: initial medium-high alcohol notes with a vinous character, medium-low metallic. low vanilla and medium-low cinnamon. faint caramelly malt notes. APPEARANCE: dark brown color with ruby body against light. medium-low light browh head, with low retention. leg formation. TASTE: initial medium-high cinnamon and sweetness, faint vanilla. medium-high alcohol notes. faint toasty malt background. medium-high bitterness with a dry, slightly bitter and cinnamon finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with medium-low carbonation. excessive alcohol warmth. OVERALL: although it has a good balance between the sweetness and bitterness, the base beer is muted by an excessive alcohol presence and overwhelming spice additions.

On tap. Really intense smell of cinnamon, but in the flavour very subdued. More flavours of figs, caramel, dried fruit. Sweet. Really nice.
