Dark brown coloured body with a nice thick, four to five centimetre tall rich, tall, microfoamed deep brown head that stays afloat for a while and leaves a subtle lace. Aroma of pure chocolates, lactose, coffee, oatmeal, cream and a dash of vanilla without any real cherry notes in the nose and nothing horribly sweet. Medium-bodied; Very pungent cherry flavour immediately with a light tang and tartness along with some softer vanilla and grainy elements along with a touch of caramelised sugars and even molasses with the oatmeal peaking around the corner and deepr malts. Aftertaste shows the rich grainy and very pungent sweetness with still a lot of cherry notes and also some bitter coffee aspects as well, without any real respite from the deepr notes, aside from the sugars...but still, all relatively easy-drinking. Overall, a nice and very flavourful fruity, but still very rich and pungent stout with a lot of nice, deep notes that shows some good profiles that can be met with a good complexity throughout and a lot of nuanced flavours, all in a relatively lower alcohol package that makes this a real winner. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 27-November-2020 for US$2,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 30-November-2020.

Can: Very deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, medium-sized slightly pinkish head, mild to moderate aroma of cacao and roasted malt, fruity traces, presumably cherries, very far in the background; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lingering sweetish-bitter finish with traces of cherries (now it is clear!) and chocolate, mild bitterness in the aftertaste. O. K., but not my favourite...

Black with an enormous fluffy tan head that lingered. Roast and a bit dry with cocoa and a hint of cherry. Long finish. Medium body.
Mostly clear dark black body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy tan head. Roast, chocolate, cherry aroma. Roast, cherry, chocolate faint smoke flavor. Medium body moderate carbonation. 8/5/8/4/15 4.0

Can from Biervana, Munich, Grootegast, and consumed at home Friday 23rd April 2021 listening to Iggy Pop, Iggy Confidential on 6Music we had Schnitzel and Pommes Frites for tea, it was great. Pours dark brown almost heading towards black. Chocolate and cherry work well together, it's a great beer for 5.5%, the one blip is the lactose. Cherry coke also springs to mind with this one.

Black beer, thick beige head. Light aroma of cherry and malt. Flavour is cherry, chocolate, malt. Not complex but it's tasty and has great body for the strength, with a little liveliness. Rich and very drinkable.

355ml can. Opaque, quasi black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately and slightly fruity aroma, notes of dry cocoa, hints of cherry, a touch of mahleb. Taste is dry and sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity and minimally spicy, notes of dry cocoa, sweet cherry, hints of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, a cautious touch of cinnamon and mahleb. Full body, somehow heavy, watery texture (not viscous of course, but somehow mercury-like concerning gravity), smooth and soft, minimally repellent (again a tad mercury-like) palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced composition, nice, spicy mahleb touch - good.

355ml can. Murky dark brown, small quickly disappearing head. Roasted malt, vanilla, some cherry juice, chocolate, cigar, light citrus. Malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry sweetish finish. Good!
12 fl.oz can. A black beer with a beige head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, mild cherries and chocolate. Taste of sweet chocolate malt, some cherries. Easy to drink.
