Big thank you to Erzengel for this 0,75 l bottle. Cloudy red brown in the glass with a more than one finger pale beige head. Looks good. Strawberry and malt on the nose. Taste starts more on the malty side, strawberry background. Toasted grain in the second part. Low carbonated. Mid to low bitterness. Balanced and really nice stuff.

Bottle. Clear dark orange color with eggshell head. Aroma is bready, raisins, earthy. Taste is bready, earthy, toffee. Velvety mouthfeel, a bit mineraly, soft carbonation. Not bad, but not great either.

Dunkel malziger Beginn mit erstaunlich starker Herbe. Fein bitter, steigend röstig, später auch cremig, harmonisch malzig, mittellaner Abgang. Nett. 10/11/11/10/12/11

75cl from the brewery. Great caramelly smooth beginning. Easy to drink, very mild and smooth. Moderate bitter, quite dry with lots of fruity earthy bitterness. Deep caramelly, burned hints, fantastic brew! Great Depth!

0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before March 2021. Slightly hazy, ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins and strawberry jam. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, nuts, a touch of chocolate, some raisins and a touch of strawberry jam, followed by a short, slightly bitter, nutty finish. Medium to full body smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant, not too deep but well-balanced, quite quaffable Bock.

Bottle: Copper coloured, hazy, smaller loose off-white head, moderate sweet-bitter aroma of toasted malt and dried fruits, illusions of herbal hops underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit sticky; slightly lingering mainly sweet malty and fruity finish. Disappointing, not very well balanced and a bit too much on the sweet side...
