Bottle at home... Good copper colour ... deep fruity malt nose ... metallic malts ... reasonably fruity ... the hint of blackberry is there if you hunt for it ... metalic linger thats just a tinge drying.

Pleasant red colour. Some hops and caramel in the aroma. Tastes of malt and fruit, with blackberries lurking in the background in a not very complementary way - a bit like added syrup. Oneโ€™s enough for me.

Bottle. A chestnut colour with an off-white head that fades quickly; aroma is fruity and malty; itโ€™s medium bodied in the mouth with an immediate fruit sweetness, followed by a crisp bitterness and then a dry aftertaste.

Bottle, picked up from the brewery shop quite a long while ago. Reddy/Brown in colour no head to speak of. Aroma was fruity and malty, taste pretty much as I expected crisp, fruity, with blackberries certainly in evidence, bit bitter and some sweetness, fine enough.

Cask @Old Bank
Dark nut brown, steady small bubbling brownish head. Sweet flowery hoppy nose but very light. Grassy hoppy bitter, reasonably balanced with soem oaky bite in the finish.

Cask handpull at Barrow Boy and Banker, London Bridge. Chestnut with beige head. Malt and apricot/peach/plum aroma. Much more fruit than in the bottle version. Touch of vanilla too. Fruit in mouth is full and reminiscent of victoria plums. Then good finish. A real surprise especially the prune/plum finish

Bottle from Sainsbury. Reddish brown colour with lasting off white head. Blackberry jam and toast aroma. Again in mouth with same flavours. Finish has a dryness to it of burnt toast. Malt is a little juicy. Not sure it totally works. I like the finish with residual fruit syrup

Bottled. Brown colour with red hints, not much head. Hoppy and fruity aroma with hints of berries. Bitter hoppy flavour with hints of berries and fruit. Pretty typical British ESB... Gets boring after about half a glass. Short aftertaste.
