Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Clear gold, small white head. Pithy, light tanginess, quite herbal and drying in the close with grassy bitter finish. A slightly cloying palate. Its ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Raven, Bath 23/8/2019. Deep gold in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. A malty beer, with plenty of toffee notes, some leafy hops, slightly bready malts and a gently bitter finish. Fine.

Rochdale Beer Festival 2017. Deeper amber in colour, it has a session texture with light fruits and is easy-supping.

Cask at the Postal Order (JDW), Worcester. Golden-amber with a thick white head. Caramel throughout with a little biscuit, dust and grass. Rather dirty bitterness to finish. Didn’t really enjoy this.

Bottle on holiday in Lyme Regis. Clear amber - brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry with decent fine mine minerally carbonation. A trace of bitter toffee in the the thin malts. Mild dried fruits. Light dry finish. Standard stuff, clean.
