Continuing our Contrast series of hops expressed in the form of juicey New England IPA vs more bitter, drier West Coast IPAs. The hop selection for this version is more typical of a NEIPA. A dry hopping of Cashmere, Citra and a touch of Bru-1 set the scene for a tropical fruit party. The Cashmere and Bru-1 interplay to push out big pineapple, melon and coconut notes with the Citra providing a hefty dose of peach and a slight zingy citrus. This is set over a grist of extra pale ale, malted wheat and a heavy dose of flaked oats contributing the smooth, silky mouthfeel with a medium, high sweetness.

44cl can, BB 10/08/2021, canned on 08/02/2021.
Dorée/paille trouble, col épais et crémeux blanc-cassé tenace.
Arôme est de suite marqué par des effluves fruitées des houblons, un bouquet qui me rappelle de suite le litchi avec de fines pointes tropicale de mangue et en rétro un soupçon de noix de coco.
Palais est plaisant fort sur les houblons, touche un peu huileuse, fruitée rappelant une poudre de thé vert Matcha ainsi que le litchi avec des notes de pêche et léger melon fermenté. Fini un peu tropical sur un effet muscat-rose du litchi. Un fini tropical mais qui conserve un côté un peu fruit vert - groseille. Fini léger collant aux lèvres, pas trop eu le retour neipa. Pas mauvaise, mais un peu goût sur la fin sur lequel je n'arrive pas à mettre le doigt et qui me dérange un peu - sans pour cela être une faute sur la bière.

440ml can. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, peaches, mango. Taste is slightly sweet, very tropical, juicy, mango, peach, and big citrus, melon, low bitterness. Medium bodied.
