Named after part of historic New Ulm, Goosetown is golden-orange with a thick, white foam head. Its light and citrusy tartness is backed by a bready malt character and complemented with coriander spice. Let loose with a ‘goose’!

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Menomonee Falls, 11/29/19. Clear amber, thin fizzy head. Aroma of lemon, coriander, wheat. Taste is toasted malt, heavy spice, apple, lime juice. Thin. Okay.

12 oz bottle from North Dakota. Aroma is wheaty, metallic, whiff of vomit, lemon, bread. Pours hazy golden with a fleeting white head that collapses into a big-bubbly ring fairly quick. Taste is lightly sweet, dry, lightly bitter. Has just the barest hint of tartness. Not salty at all. No sense of coriander, either. Tastes like a bland wheat beer. That being said, it is drinkable, just not very gose-like.

Aroma was the best thing here and that was just so-so with some sweet malt and perhaps the barest hint of spice. Flavor had zero sour or tart a slight inkling of salt in the Finish and likewise with the coriander basically was just some average sweet beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden apple, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is heavy on coriander, floral, a bit of salty wheat. Flavor is light sweet, tiny hint of tartness, loads of coriander and floral, minimal bitterness. Medium light body, lingering floral finish. Meh.

On tap at Twins Stadium. Pours a clear a gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has an earthy wheat with a good amount of bread and a touch of salt. Flavor is similar with earthy grain and bread with a touch of salt.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Orange-amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast and slight spice. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, bready malt and yeast. Subtle saltiness in the background. The finish is fruity with a short citrus aftertaste. Barely average overall.

12 oz bottle purchased as a single at France 44 in Minneapolis. 072514 printed on the bottle neck. The pour is crystal clear yellow golden with a well formed 1 ½ inch head that is quite lasting. The aroma is semi-sweet cereal grain malt along with a hint of the spice and salt. The taste is the cereal grain malt, slightly sweet, hint of lemon citrus, slightly dirty, muddled floral coriander and finishing with some of the salt. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and a lingering malt sweet, floral and salt after taste. Just OK.

Gold Color, Medium Head, Some Lacing. Did not get any aroma in this one. Taste like sparkling seltzer water. Carbonated and salty. Did not get coriander at all. Some wheat sour on finish. Never had this style before, so not sure what to expect. Definitely different and weird but that is a lure when you try out different beers. Not necessarily very pleasant or enjoyable but drinkable and interesting so I want to try and explore a couple more beers in this style.
