Dark brown. Not much head. On the nose, it’s a bit of a mutt of toffee, dark fruits and chocolate. On the palate, it’s fruity, has really nice malt complexity with burnt toffee intensity. Yeah, this is pretty solid stuff to be sure. I’d say pretty fun.

Excellent creamy beige foam on a good deep black body. Smells of coffee, soft motor oil, vague licorice. Taste's bright and chewy dark grain, espresso and licorice notes, sharp hoppiness, lingering crisp oiliness. My kind of beer, all kinds of excellent.

Jet black brown with a decent beige head. Roast and some nice dark fruit. Nice dark chocolate, dark fruit and a bit of booze. The finish has a touch of cooked banana.

On tap at Studio, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out deep roasted malt, some slight burnt bready notes, and earthy coffee. Flavour is rich and coffee-like, with dry earthy coffee, moderate roasted malt, and some crusty rye bread. Dry yet and here is some residual sweetness to balance. The coffee and burnt/roast notes are nicely imparted. Excellent.

Black colour with large brown head. Roasted malt and burnt bread ears aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth, with good body strength, without being sweet, just the malt bill helping here; strong roasted character, light yeast fruitiness. A bit too roasty for my liking, but undoubtedly well made and pleasant. Solid.

12oz (thx a lot, Ryan!) shared with Andrey @ home. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: lots of coffee, roasted malts, fruity notes. Taste: moderately sweet, a lot of fruity and roasted malt notes, pretty good body strength for 7.5%. Roasted malts aftertaste. Quite dry. Overall: good one.
