Bottle: Poured a deep black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, licorice, dark fruit, coffee, smoky. Taste is rich roasted malts, little ashy, coffee, chocolate spatterings. Dry smoky finish

Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Appearance - opaque black. Fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate, raisins and prunes. Taste - luscious chocolate and dry fruit. Palate - creamy and medium to full bodied. Balanced sweetness and bitterness. Overall - great stuff.

Tried at the Peterborough Beer Festival. Off black colour with a tan head. Aroma roasted malty with a nice coffee hot. Taste light bitter. Medium to full body.

Cask @ Chelmsford Beer & Cider Festival. Almost black with a beige ehad. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dark fruit and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 150218

Cask @ Chelmsford Beer Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are licorice, caramel, chocolate, coffee and hops. Nice bitter finish.

Bottle. Real Ale Shop, Branthill, Norfolk. Dark, cola brown. Bit of murk. Thin and dense, sticky, pale tan head. Nose has light roast malts. Tangy coffee bean. Touch of pepper. Taste is dry, vinous, and tangy bitter. Light body. A bit watery. Vinous and dry on the finish.

Cask at the 6th Annual Beccles Beer Festival, Beccles, Suffolk. Pours black with a small beige coloured head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and dark fruits. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium plus body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.
