A kettle-soured, vibrantly purple Berliner Weisse that’s refreshingly tart, fruity, and brewed without hops. With lemon zest from our Hackney neighbours, Square Root Soda, and juicy blueberry puree and concentrate.

Keg at the Pembury Tavern, 13/12/18. Dark blackcurrant red with a decent faded purple cap. Nose is mellow berry fruits, straw, toasted grains, red berries. Taste comprises mellow berry compote, faint acidity, red berry sherbets, grass, damp cloth. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a vague pucker. OK if a touch basic.

Keg at the Pembury Tavern - Hackney. Pours unclear purple with a small, creamy pink head. Tasty, has some tart berries, mellow acidity, fleshy blueberries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Quenching finish, lightly drying, more tangy blueberries, soft lemony acidity. Solid.

Draft at Pembury tavern. Pours out a purplis/Mahogany color. Fine ring of head. Aroma features light sweet and tart notes. Taste is also gentle, fruity sweetness with a bit of tart, like a blueberry turnover. Quiet and unassuming beer.
