Very British collab with the Manchester Home Brewers Group for Manchester Beer Fest 2016. Late-hopped with Admiral & Pioneer for English hop flavours & some extra orangey citrus, with just a hint of Challenger in the boil to earth it.

Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Dry malts, light and unsweet caramel. Floral bitterness. Banana esters. Pithy dry citrus. Dry finish leaves a strong floral bitter linger. Feels like an ESB.

Bottle from Hopology, Nottingham. Hazy amber to orange colour with a white head. Aroma citrus orange marmalade and pine resin, taste berry fruity sweet to mid bitter finish.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Beermoth. Pours hazy orange reddish-gold with a frothy, mostly white head. The nose has some English yeast, bready malts, ripening citrus, grain, earth and berries. Medium sweet flavour with some rounded berry character, a little woody dryness, bitter earth, slight oily pine, rindy orange, grainy bread, more ripe citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with adequate bready sweetness, further resinous piney hops, ripening berries and general citrus fruits, some orange, more grainy bread. Really, it’s pretty enjoyable stuff overall. Definitely a ’British’ IPA, though, for what it’s worth.

Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Deep amber coloured. Full bodied fruitiness with a strength, but it’s certainly not overbearing.
