Opaque cola brown. Thick foamy beige head. Aroma has cofee and liqourice over chewy bready malts. Flavourwise it's similar - espresso and liqourice with an added sour edge. Light-medium bodied. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Slick. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Almost black with a huge and lively loose beige head. Black malts, bitter cooking chocolate, demerara sugar in the aroma.sweet taste with notes of salted caramel, plum, treacle. Bitterness sneaks in for an intense finish. Thick body, soft carbonation. Excellent

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 22 April 2016) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, cacao, dark chocolate, liquorice and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and well made porter, with a generous coffee character. Very nice.

Leeds Beer Festival 2016. Very dark porter. Its roasted malts just dominate over some sweetness which is in here too.
