Cask-conditioned at the Posset Cup (JDW), Portishead 27/6/2016. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Some floral hops, sweetish malts, merest hint of stone fruits and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask at the George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is bready malt, floral, toasted grain, ginger spice and some citrus peel. The taste is bitter, grapefruit peel, pithy lemon, perfumed, peppery spice, bread and straw with a dry, spiced finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad overall.

Clear bright gold with a frothy white head. Biscuit malt and light citrus aroma. Sweet malted biscuit, caramel and a touch of orange peel and a decent bitter finish. Drinkable but not particularly memorable.

Tried at the Royal Hop Pole, JDW, Tewkesbury. Rather disappointing and really just a dry taste golden ale rather than an APA.

Cask at the Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. Pale amber with a scummy white head; grainy aroma; grainy body with a rich malted grain taste; and some light citrus to finish. Disappointing overall.

Cask up the white lady. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light biscuit, faint orange. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish. Meh.

Cask at the Windlesora, 02/06/16. Pale golden blonde with a decent off White head. Nose is pale malt, bread, floral hop, lemon rind. Taste comprises pale malts, lemon tinged straw, grain, melon, bread dough. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light hop notes. Mediocre for style.

Cask at the moon under water Watford. This is mist likely a re brew by a British brewer. A cleat golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is subdued sweet grains, hedgerow berry hop, grassy citrus hop, little vanilla. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty malts, little grassy rough hop, berry, grainy. Palate is semi sweet, moderate cask condition, hint of creamyness. Passable golden.
