We've teamed up with our good friend James Campbell at Sureshot, and new kids on the block, Amity Brew Co. to deliver a modern take on a classic Extra Special Bitter.

Big caramel malt notes are balanced with a punchy citrus bitterness, featuring Citrus, Simcoe and the classic East Kent Goldings hops for good measure.

Can at home thanks to Thijs. Almost clear copper with beige head. Caramel malts, light cola, toffee, fresh apricots, berries, light citrus peel. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Tasty modern take on a ESB.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Pours a deep amber, large frothy off-white head. Aroma is nicely sweet, malty. Tasty presents a sweet nutty character, ryebread echoes with a nice bitterness. Nicely presented ESB with a good measured sweetness running throughout.

440ml can: BB 17th Dec 2021. Drank at home on 1st May 2021. Poured with a mini-haze to it's amber bronze body, off-white head. Malty front to the nose and taste, caramel flavour; light fruity notes in there too. Really enjoyed it.

Malty, a bit sweet, bitter, smooth. Surprisingly hoppy, finishes a bit light. Nice, but not enough to dethrone Fueller's.

Hazy amber brown with a cream coloured head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, citrus and fruity hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Bonus point for not being a NEIPA like every other beer on the shelves nowadays..
