A terrific golden summer session beer brewed exclusively with American hops to give a slight citrus character and a rich hop aroma. A relatively low ABV make this a true golden session ale to enjoy whatever the weather.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden with a light haze and a thin white head. Aromas of passionfruit and lychee. Hints of lemon and lime. Taste is light sweet cordial up front, light bitterness creeps in, then a faintly malty finish. Good for the strength.

Cask, gravity at Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Friday 24th February Pours golden, light haze. Fruity, hoppy and drinks very well for the above, very sessionable beer. Enjoyed this.I had this again and felt compelled to re-rate, this is a lovely beer that belies it’s strength, it formed one of the fab’ three with Atomic and So.La All three were great. Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy deep amber to brown. Decent thin head. There was a bit of yeasty looking gunk inside the neck of the bottle. Nose - mainly tropical, say lychees, some citrus but in a minor role. Taste - bitter pith, probably lemon. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent.

On the SilkTork Southampton through the looking glass tour. On tap at Chalk Valley. Clear gold clear gold. Decent citrus flavours but too cold no condition. Bit of harsh carbonic acid finish ok session pale ale. Fruity hops are pleasant. No real malt or yeast presence its fruity alcoholic water.
