[as de la Senne Brussels Calling 2018, ABV 6.5%] Bottiglia.

(Bottle) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, floral nose with apricot marmalade, orange, crisp-bread, hay and spices. Fruity, floral taste with notes of apricot marmalade, orange peel, crisp-bread and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, herbal and quite complex. Nice one.

Bottle at home. Hazy dark yellow golden with big fluffy white head. Light fruity with orange, grapefruit and mango. Creamy grains with barley and wheat, followed by bitter herbs and dry flowers. There’s also soft fresh grass and light dough. Medium sweet and bitter. Solid medium bodied with great creamy feel. Not the best ‘IPA’ but a very drinkeable beer. Nice!

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up online I think. Pours just slightly hazed orange-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Typically well balanced DLS, some biscuits, orange peel, a little grass, yeast, dough. Medium bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Reasonably sweet finish, some spicy pine, more citrus peel bitterness, mellow grass, sun-kissed pale malts and biscuits. Sound.

Flaska från Belgiuminabox. Disig orange vätska nästan helt utan skum. Doft av karamell, jordgubb och söta päron. Snäll lite gräsig beska. Belgiska ipor brukar ha ganska lång livslängd men den här känns lite avslagen. Inte dålig men inte heller bra.
