500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Piney, resinous, hoppy and roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of pine, spruce, weed, grass, a touch of green onion, dark chocolate, some coffee. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy and bitter roasty, dark malty, piney and resinous, notes of dark chocolate, hints of coffee and milk chocolate, a touch of cocoa, hints of pine needles, orange zest. Comes close to an Black IPA. Very nice.

Tap at William K. Kurvi, Helsinki. Color is very dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Dryness, coffee, some dark chocolate and roasted malts. OK.

500ml bottle from Bochka (Sviblovo) in Moscow. Have been meaning to find and drink this one since joining Ratebeer in 2014. Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is roastiness, coffee, grassy-fruity hops. Taste is light sweet, earthy, roasted malt. Dry and hoppy finish.

[ As AF Brew Black Magic Porter ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, pine. Keg at Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Black, huge beige head. Grapefruity nose with licorice and coffee. Dry with medium body and clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Licorice and coffee, piney bitter finish.

Draught @ Panema, Helsinki. Smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish porter with some fruity hops and bitterness, hints of pine and coffee. Okay, a bit unbalanced though.

Draught @ Beergeek Bar, Prague. Pours black with a small brown head, light lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, light citrusly hops, little grapefruit. Flavor is light bitter, roast malt caramel, coffee, citrus, light piney. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, light bitter finish. Nice and easy drinkable. 290318

Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Clear, red to black colored. AROMA- roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. FLAVOR- clean, slightly sweet, pleasantly tart, roasted malts, blackberries, coffee. Medium bodied.
