Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - many thanks to Bruce! Pours black-brown with a modest, foamy head. Dark chocolate in the nose, notes of raspberry. Medium sweet flavor with lightly tangy burnt wood, char. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with more dark chocolate, light dry and bitter raspberry, some bittersweet cocoa. Burnt toast. Good.

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Bruce. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The nose roasted malt, raspberry ice-cream, tangy berry, toasted coconut, vanilla and oak. The taste is roasted malt, fresh raspberry, tangy fruit, toast, espresso,, tar, earth and a hint of soy sauce with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff indeed. I prefer this to their regular impy stout.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of thgr81_us. Pours a pitch black with hardly any head at all. Odd aroma of raspberries and coffeeish roast. Rich body, low in carbonation, heavy sweet roast, thick and syrupy. The raspberries really dominate - even over the Bourbon barrel. Not the greatest combination. 221112
