Ale brewed with feijoas & aged in wine barrels. A beer that is developing cult like status in NZ and around the world due to its quality and scarcity. Feijoa is New Zealand’s second national fruit and this is surely a one of a kind beer! Be sure to savour the flavour.

Draught No head to speak of; hazy pineapplejuice coloured beer. Sour, old cloth, soap, dry spices - some form of oxydation. Dry, mild acids, lactic. Fruity esters but none really imposing. Wild yeasts, and then especially floor mop Brett dominating the flavourprofile. Light body, low carbonation. Too wild yeast oriented, and not very uplifting.

13/XI/21 - sample from a bottle @ Billies Craft Beer Festival Day 2 (Waagnatie, Antwerp), BB: n/a (2021-1364) Thanks to the Brewver crew and other beer buddies for sharing today’s beers!

Clear pale milky yellow beer, no head. Aroma: very herbal, floral, soapy, cardamom, somewhat fruity, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: weird, very floral, soapy and unpleasant bitterness, acidic, bit lemony, more soap, nope. Aftertaste: lavender, soapy, unpleasant bitter finish, don’t like this one…

Draught @ Craft Beer Garden 2021, Helsinki. Funky, mouth puckering sour and quite intense with some grapefruit, tartness, earthiness and acidy notes. Quite intense.

(Keg, 2019 vintage, at Craft Beer Garden 2021) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, grapefruit, stomach acids and vinegar. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, canned apricots, floralness, sourness, tartness, wood, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, tart and bitter. A delicious tart brew with complex flavours.

Keg at Castlegate BD. It pours hazy yellow with a small white head. The aroma is bright, spritzy, orange sherbet, tangerine, kumquat and earth. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, shuart, sweet, sour, umami, sherbet, passion fruit, tangerine, sour candy, earth and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Big, tart and bright. Fun stuff.

13-10-19 // bottle. Cheers to 2500 Mett B. - a nose of deep funk and barrel. Starts acidic biting sour. Calms over time. Wild fruit. Wooden barrel notes. Maybe a little over its prime concerning the fruit aromas. Funky yeasty. Good.
